You are invited to participate in the International 40 Days for Life Campaign of prayer, fasting and peaceful presence at the NEW Ottawa vigil site, located outside the restricted 50 metres Bubble Zone area on the Queen St. side of the southwest corner of Queen & Bank. The campaign runs from Wednesday September 26 until Sunday November 4, 2018.

40 Days for Life is an International Campaign to end abortion by prayer, fasting and prayerful vigil outside abortion facilities around the world.  By the Grace of God, 40 Days for Life has achieved a stunning track record of life-saving results since launching in 2007 and is rapidly becoming a world-wide movement: 14,643 lives saved, 750,000 volunteers, 769 cities, 50 nations, 177 abortion workers quit, 96 abortion centres closed.

Vigil Hours:

The vigil hours are from 7:00 am – 7:00 pm daily.

You can go directly to the vigil site and “sign-up” in the attendance book by entering your first name, or initials only.

Parking and Bus Information

• Underground parking is available near the Vigil site at 240 Sparks Street. It is accessed from the Queen Street side of the building. Parking is pay-for on weekdays, but is free on weekends (Saturday 8 am to 11 pm and Sunday 11 am to 11 pm)
• Street parking in the area is pay-for on weekdays but is free on weekends.
• Free Parking at St Patrick's Adult High School – 290 Nepean St. (across from St. Patrick's Basilica) at all times. During weekdays, when school is in, please let the school office know that you are parked there so they do not ticket your vehicle.
• Many OC Transpo buses stop within a block or two of the Vigil site. Buses are free on Wednesdays for those 65 +. Check the OC Transpo website: octranspo.com, to help plan your bus route, departure, and arrival times.
